Spring is often an opportunity to enjoy a long weekend. CERN has several official holidays in April and May, during which campus services may adjust their opening hours.

During the Easter weekend, the CERN restaurants and cafeterias will be closed. From 18 to 21 April 2025, only building 40 will offer a catering service from 08:00 to 21:00.

On 1 May, all catering services will be closed, but the many vending machines will remain available if needed.

During the Ascension holidays, Restaurant 1 (Meyrin) will be open all week, including Thursday 29 and Friday 30 May. Òdélices (Prévessin) will only be closed on Ascension Day (29/05), while all other restaurants and cafeterias will be closed throughout the long weekend.
