
CERN Community Support Centre
The CERN Community Support Centre (CCSC) is located in two iconic places on the CERN Meyrin site: Building 33 (Esplanade des Particules) and Main Building (ground floor).
The CCSC located in Building 33 is the main hub for onboarding and departure procedures. It provides essential services for personnel, contractors, visitors, collaborators, and retirees.
- Access card creation, renewal, and return (including family cards)
- Visitor card management
- Contractor and Temporary personnel registration and information maintenance
- Vehicle registration
- Dosimeter distribution and biometric enrolment
- CH and FR card management
- Online training stations
- First-line support for CERN services
- General IT assistance (Wi-Fi, accounts, 2FA)
Opening hours: 07:00 – 18:30 on CERN working days
The CCSC located in Main Building (B62) is designed to be closer to the members of the community already working at CERN or that already have access to the site, and focuses on daily IT and support needs.
It site hosts:
- Service Desk
- Access card renewal (including family cards)
- Visitor card management
- Contractor and Temporary personnel information maintenance
- Vehicle registration
- First-line support for CERN services
- General IT assistance (Wi-Fi, accounts, 2FA)
- IT-SOS – specialised IT services such as YubiKey management, telecom (SIM/eSIM, mobiles, IP phones), Eduroam registration, hardware setup/repair, software licences, material lending/purchase, and general IT questions
- UNIQA – insurance support
- Flexible space – to host temporary or rotating services
Opening hours: 08:00 – 17:00 on CERN working days
